Stranded.

I'm in limbo.
A place I don't know.
Everything I call home,
has left me here alone.

There's one thing I was sure of,
A position of my dreams.
Something I'd planned on since my early teens.

Until the position was handed
to everyone but me,
They post it all over facebook
for everyone to see.

I am meant to be a counselor,
but I guess it's not my time,
even though I know this,
I still want to cry.

The only bit of comfort,
is being with my best friend.
This summer will be ours,
The two of us till the end...

Except she's now engaged,
to someone I don't know
She's leaving me behind,
stranded all alone.
